LinkedIn is the perfect place for businesses to be present but like all social media networks, there is a right way and a wrong way to be acting.

Do’s

Be Professional – always conduct yourself in a professional, respectful and appropriate manner.

Be Active – regularly post company updates, like, share and comment on relevant industry insights.

Be Relevant – ensure your post content is not only relevant but interesting and useful for your followers and connections.

Be Engaging – create engaging content by using pictures and videos and make sure you keep it varied.

Be Strategic – always carefully consider what your posts, ensure they meet your objective and plan your posts.

Be Analytical – analyse your metrics and keep track of how your posts perform.

Don’ts

Be Irrelevant – posting for the sake of posting and over posting

Be Insecure – keeping your platforms vulnerable with predictable passwords

Be Slow – responding to comments, queries and feedback slowly

Be Ignorant – ignoring or even deleting comments, queries and feedback

Be Irresponsible – not fully planning or tracking results for optimising future strategy

Be Rude – acting in a rude or unprofessional manner.
