Streamlight® has been lighting up the world for over 45 years with their high-performance lighting devices, designed to serve the specialised needs of professionals and consumers alike. Streamlight Inc. were looking to build their market share within Europe. Having identified the UK, Germany and France as key markets, we worked with them to evolve the Streamlight brand for the European consumer and trade market.

The Background

Streamlight is the No.1 flashlight brand in the US, with the strapline ‘Heroes Trust Streamlight®’.  The strapline resonates with the US audience as their product range has gained loyalty and trust from the US police, fire services and military through years of field testing in dangerous situations.

Loyalty and trust are earnt and as a relatively unknown brand within the European Market, it was vital that the brand strategy and strapline were reworked to maximise Streamlight’s success within the UK, France and Germany. 

The Solution

Working with the team in Philadelphia we worked through our strategic brand development process.  Starting with a brand strategy day we harnessed the knowledge, experience and aspirations of the Streamlight team and partnered this with our knowledge of the European Market to create a new strapline and tone of voice.  

To showcase Streamlight’s companywide commitment to innovation, the new European strapline is ‘Brilliant Thinking®' which we now use across all of their marketing platforms.
